Ahmad Elias is a famous Syrian artist. He was born in 1954. Ahmad “graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University, Internal Design in 1981.”

Nizar Qabbani 
Nizar Qabbani is a famous Syrian poet. His poems were about love, religion, feminism, and Arab nationalism. His first collection of poems were the The Brunette Told Me. He wrote this first set of poems in his college years. His crowds always loved when he preformed.

While looking at this art work it is interesting to compare it to my culture, in the sense that most of the art work I see doesnt consist of shapes like these examples you have provided, instead I see artwork pertaining to what people see infront of them. As I say that I am referring to scenersuch as a beach, or mountains, paradise or portraits. These pictures above are very colorful and unique forms of artwork that one can look for many minutes at inorder to pick out all the different shapes and forms.

  2. His work is very cubic and packs each inch of the canvas with movement and geometric shapes. It reminds me of Mondrian's work to an extent. His choice of palette is very pleasing to the eye with the intermingling of cool and warm colors. Also, his artistic development over the course of about 25 years sees the gradual decline of traditional script which was so prominent in his first pieces. Art certainly transcends all.
